It's been too long since I've updated this blog, but gosh have I been busy. Even though I think about it everyday, I just haven't had a chance to sit down and give it the proper time......until now. Both crafternoons turned out better than expected. A creative time was had by all and we raised over $300.00! Special thanks go out to all who joined us and especially to Linnea Osterberg and Connie Rourke for opening up their studio/home and making everyone feel welcome. Unfortunately, no photos were taken of either event.....so it's just black and white to look at for this post.
What's happening next: I am scouting out coffee shops for the art sale, more cloth napkins and headbands for sale, and I'll schedule another crafternoon (the next one will include the kids, my daughter is dying to get her hands on some glue and glitter!).

Crafternoon Event Scheduled for Feb.1
I've been talking about having one of these afternoons for a very long time, and now the first one is on the calendar. Come work on your projects and visit with other creative people. Whether you knit, paint, scrapbook, make cards, create jewelry, do embroidery, you will have your own designated space to finish your current projects, start new ones, make valentines, or whatever you feel like.Details: Sunday, Feb. 1 from 10-5 in a light filled artist's studio on second floor in NW Portland. We'll provide light snacks and beverages. Lunch is on your own (there are many restaurants in the area to choose from, or bring your own, there's a fridge and microwave at the studio). Bring your own supplies and/or share with others. Donations welcome and will benefit CFAC. Our current project is bringing clean, accessible water to a community in Samburu, East Kenya, Africa. RSVP to frenchstyle712@aol.com to reserve your space. As always, feel free to invite your friends. Do something creative everyday!
